About Katrina
Dr. Katrina Vickerman is the director of the Optum Center for Wellbeing Research (OCWR). She is also an active researcher in the area of health behavior change, with a focus on helping smokers quit via quitlines. Her current research includes two studies looking at use of e-cigarettes to help smokers quit tobacco.
Background
Dr. Vickerman has conducted research on behavior change, family interactions, and stress. She is a nationally recognized expert on use of e-cigarettes and other vaping devices among quitline callers. She has published more than 20 peer-reviewed journal articles and has presented at numerous national conferences.
Education
Dr. Vickerman earned her MA and PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Southern California. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Department of Veterans' Affairs, Puget Sound Healthcare System, American Lake Division. Prior to joining OCWR, she was the lead program evaluator for Optum® Quit For Life® quitlines.
