Who we are
At Optum Serve, we feel immensely honored and privileged to support federal agencies in their efforts to advance the U.S. health system. Learn how we bring the full breadth and depth of UnitedHealthcare and Optum to our federal partners whenever and wherever we're needed.
Patty Horoho: I'm retired Lieutenant General Patty Horoho, CEO of OptumServe. I was privileged to have served in the United States Army for more than three decades. During my career, I had the honor of serving as a 43rd US Army Surgeon General and Commander of the US Army Medical Command. At OptumServe, we have the immense honor and privilege of supporting federal agencies in their efforts to advance the US health system, and improve the overall health and wellbeing of all those who serve or have served our country. Additionally, OptumServe provides a wealth of support and resources to many other agencies, including the Department of Health and Human Services. As they tackle some of the biggest healthcare challenges experienced within every community, across our great nation. We support the health of military service members and veterans at each stage of their military journey. From the civilian applicant to active duty service members and veterans.
We know these individuals and their families need to be strong mentally, physically, spiritually, financially, and vocationally. Whether it be administering vaccinations during a global pandemic or simple personalized care in a community clinic. Our health services are designed to help everyone live healthier lives. Our IT solutions automate and streamline business processes while keeping data safe and secure. We help modernize infrastructure and improved system integration to create greater effectiveness for everyone. With deep expertise in healthcare operations, we align our networks, payment platforms, and communication channels so that every action improves care coordination across the healthcare system.
Our data and analytics capabilities provide robust insights, which strengthen health programs, promote health equity, and help federal leaders make more informed policy choices and implement public health initiatives. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we were able to effectively leverage our resources to stand up new business models, to support testing and vaccine distribution. Our adaptable, streamlined, and seamless delivery models have helped save lives across the nation and will continue to do so as we respond and adapt to future emergency preparedness needs. At OptumServe, one of the most powerful qualities is our agility. We can adapt, flow, and transport. Like water, we can move into places others cannot. We bring the full breadth and depth of UnitedHealthcare and Optum to our federal partners whenever and wherever we're needed.
