Clinical Research as a Care Option for Patients
Length: 60 minutes
Patient types for expanded care options
Research as a care option is poised to change the health care landscape. But before diving into the various benefits of research as a care option, it’s a good idea to consider the types of patient populations in need of expanded care options.
For example, elderly individuals will demand treatment options beyond the customary, such as the ability to participate in clinical trials as a care option. The goal here is not only to extend life, but improve quality of life and functional health as long as possible.
