From coast to coast, every day, in many ways, Optum helps the people who help our neighbors in need. We do it with a commitment to both healthier and happier outcomes. Counting on our experience and our results, we are the technology solutions partner for several state agencies. For example, West Virginia. When Optum took over maintenance and operations for eligibility, open incident tickets dropped from hundreds to a handful. It went so well the state decided to move forward with an Optum integrated eligibility solution. When COVID-19 hit, Optum helped the state extend benefits to 77,000 new recipients in days.

Speaker 1:

Optum also helped with a policy change that provided a first of its kind EBT allowance. It meant families of 60,000 kids could buy school clothes online from the safety of home. It's the kind of work we do all over the country. We lead operations for health insurance exchanges in Vermont, and also in Massachusetts. There, we stepped in after another vendor's troubled launch. In California, we manage administrative services for San Diego Behavioral Health Services, and we support care management, claims processing, data analytics, and more for the nonprofit John Muir Health.

Together, with the state of Indiana, we're working to manage the data warehouse and to make sure systems are ready for any changes. We've collaborated on data governance, and our analytics are supporting better, faster decisions on COVID-19 testing. Working together, we're honored to help our state partners do good, and we're excited to help them do more.
